Our CAD Drafting Service provides Schematic Drawings to your specification
What are Schematic Drawings?
Schematic Drawings are clearly detailed diagrams of an electrical or mechanical system. They are a top level focus drawing and describe how something works and/or how individual parts interface.
Schematic drawings are often used in a concept or early design stage to outline a design and its principles.
What do we do?
We will create electrical and mechanical diagrams in CAD. These are are usually created in a 2D format using Software such as AutoCad. We will use standardised symbols from our symbol library or (should this be requested) your standard symbols.
What information do we require?
For schematics we would usually work from hand drawn sketches or old CAD data. The sketches can be provided in paper, image or PDF format.
What do we deliver?
Schematic drawings that will be in accordance with British Standards in PDF & DWG format.
How much does a schematic cost?
Our philosophy is to provide fixed price quotation if possible. The price is governed by the complexity of a schematic. We would usually be able to provide a fixed price from an image.
The use of 3D modelling has become increasingly popular, and more and more traditional 2D-based manufacturers are beginning to recognise the advantage of communicating their designs in the 3D format. Although transferring across to 3D may at first seem a momentous...
