What is BIM (Building Information Modelling)

A Building Information Model is an intelligent 3D CAD model. The intelligent model (compared to a dumb model) will have additional information within the CAD model besides its geometric shape. Our team of MEP Coordinators use BIM processes to model and coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing building services. BIM allows a virtual buildup of all building services virtually prior to installation. This ensures a clash-free and maintainable installation.

At Jensen Consulting we use AutoCAD MEP to produce 3D MEP models in commercial & residential buildings. For detailed coordination of plant rooms, we use AutoCAD Plant.
